Hi, I'm Mary

The idea for the Potted Blossom started when I was in college. I visited Thanksgiving Point in Utah for the first time and fell in love with the idea of such beautiful gardens for people to visit and enjoy. I had this vision of providing for my community a place were people could  come and learn about gardening and cut flowers. I wanted to provide opportunities for others to have a paid internship that would give them hands on experience in the horticulture field that wasn't landscaping or strictly greenhouse work. I didn't have the means to pursue it so I set it in the back of my mind and continued on with life. 

After getting married and getting my husband through college, we sat down together to see what we could do with my ideas. By this time my idea had evolved into a slightly different plan to include growing cut flowers and designing bouquets. We came up with a 5 year plan that would fit in with the needs of our children and family to make my dreams become a reality. 

Part of that plan is to grow and provide flowers to those in our local community of Kuna, Idaho. Currently we are expanding our grow space and hope to be able to provide bouquet workshops, fundraisers for different organizations in our community and a gathering place for people to connect with nature in the 2023 growing season.
